Engineering reference 03

MT5–CRM Integration and Bulk Data Import

An engineering reference in data integration: a connector that read trading data from MetaTrader 5, imported accounts and their authorised history into a CRM in batches, then kept them synchronised — with the state needed to resume after an interruption.

All selected work

Engineering disciplines
  • Read-only MT5 extraction
  • Data contract & mapping
  • Batch import
  • Incremental synchronisation
  • Recovery & reconciliation
Relevant use cases
  • Making MetaTrader 5 data usable in a CRM without re-entry
  • Importing existing accounts and their history once, within a defined scope
  • Keeping the CRM up to date after the initial import

The engineering challenge.

Trading data lives in MetaTrader 5; the teams that follow clients and accounts work in a CRM. Bridging the two takes more than copying records: accounts, positions and deals have to be mapped to what the receiving system expects, and a record must keep the same identity from one run to the next.

Two situations called for the same rigour: the initial import of existing accounts and their history, and the synchronisation that follows it. Both had to be able to stop and resume without losing or duplicating records, and to show what the receiving system had actually accepted.

The engineering approach.

The work combined several disciplines.

Defined scope
The accounts and the history to import set explicitly, and agreed before any transfer.
Read-only extraction
Accounts, positions, deals and financial snapshots read from MetaTrader 5, without write access to the platform.
Data contract
Each record mapped to a documented contract: its fields, its identifiers, and the rules that keep its identity stable.
Batch import
The initial import processed in batches, each with a recorded state, so that it could be followed and resumed.
Persistent state & outgoing queue
Records waiting to be sent kept in intermediate storage, so that an interruption did not lose them.
Acceptance tracking
Each transmission checked against the receiving system’s own acceptance: a positive HTTP response alone was not taken as acceptance.
Checkpoints & reconciliation
Progress recorded at checkpoints, duplicates guarded against, and what was sent compared with what was accepted.
Incremental synchronisation
After the initial import, changes carried over incrementally, with the same state tracking.

How the data moves.

From the trading platform to the CRM, in the direction the data travels. Only this reference’s own components are shown.

  1. MetaTrader 5

Accounts, positions, deals and financial snapshots.

  2. Read-only

    Extraction & mapping

Records mapped to the documented data contract.

  3. Mapped records

    Initial import & synchronisation

Batches first, then increments, with persistent state, an outgoing queue and checkpoints.

  4. Controlled write

    CRM

Each transmission checked against the CRM’s own acceptance.

What the work delivered.

  • The connector, covering the initial batch import and the incremental synchronisation
  • A documented data contract
  • Recovery mechanisms: checkpoints, reconciliation and controlled resumption
  • Synchronisation tracking: what was sent, what was accepted, what is still waiting
  • A delivery package and its delivery procedure

What this reference is — and is not.

  • It illustrates integration engineering carried out by C.G Solutions. It is not a CRM, a standalone import tool or a product offered for sale.
  • Read-only on the MetaTrader 5 side; writes on the CRM side were controlled and limited to what the data contract defined.
  • Access rights, APIs and the receiving system’s contract are confirmed for each project. The fields available and the depth of history depend on the sources: data the sources never recorded cannot be reconstructed.
  • The connector transmits source data. Business calculations made in the CRM remain distinct from it.
  • No client is named, and no real data, production volume, duration or operating figure is shown; no compatibility with every CRM is claimed.
  • MetaTrader 5 is named to identify the source platform. C.G Solutions is not affiliated with, endorsed by or a partner of MetaQuotes.
